MAS but for normal coaches
Many teams are using MAS to train “aerobic capacity”… but they’re not actually improving game-speed repeatability.
Why?
Because Maximal Aerobic Speed (MAS) has been turned into a math problem instead of a programming tool.
So I’m running a live webinar on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 7:30pm CST to fix that.
🎯 “Simplifying MAS for Team Sports”
In it, you'll learn:
-
What MAS actually is (and what it isn’t)
-
Why most conditioning programs miss it
-
How to train it without lab tests, spreadsheets, or guesswork
-
How MAS fits into real-world practice planning
🔑 Practical MAS Test + Sample Session (You Can Use This Week)
Step 1: Simple MAS Field Test
Run a 6-minute time trial on a track or field.
Total meters Ă· 360 seconds = meters per second (MAS).
Example:
1,620m Ă· 360 = 4.5 m/s MAS
No fancy equipment. Just cones and a stopwatch.
Step 2: Plug It Into a Session
15 seconds at 100% MAS
→ 4.5 m/s × 15 = ~67m per rep
Run ~65 - 70m
Rest 15 seconds
Repeat for 8 - 12 reps
If athletes fall apart early, you’ve identified an aerobic power limiter — not a “mental toughness” issue.
That’s MAS applied — simple, objective, actionable.
Step 3: Register for the Webinar!
This is for coaches who want athletes who can:
- Run fast
- Recover faster
- Repeat it again and again (and again and again)
👉 Save your seat here
This framework is the backbone of how I built repeat-sprint ability, aerobic power, and game-speed conditioning in professional rugby — without burning athletes out.
If your conditioning still feels like:
“We’re doing a lot… but I’m not sure it’s working”
Let's change that together.
See you in a few weeks,
